I had a wonderful stay at Hostel 4U. The location was perfect, just two blocks away from Commerce Square. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and even bought me a bottle of olive oil when I mentioned my preference. The room was clean and cheap, exactly what I needed for my trip. The breakfast spread was amazing and lasted me through the day. I highly recommend this hostel for its great value and friendly service.

- Localization is very good, close to Castelo de São Jorge, Baixa and other touristic points. - The Hostel is very new, so everything is clean and beautiful. - Staff is very friendly, especially Maria which is very kind and helpful.
- Acoustic insulation of the windows is not good, so there is some noise from the street because of cars traffic. - There is no wifi internet in the room.

We had an amazing time at Hostel 4U! The location was perfect, with popular neighborhoods like Bairro Alto and Alfama just a short walk away. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast spread had plenty of fruit and coffee. The wifi worked well too. We would definitely stay here again. we highly recommend this hostel.

It's my second time there and it will not be the last. I always look for a place with easy public transport access, food facilities and the most important a very clean place including toilets. This hostel ticks all boxes. Ah the bed is very comfortable.

Very Friendly and Helpful Staff, Very clean and new rooms. In historical city centre. Good and delicious breakfast.
Only disadvantage is the fact that there is no heating system (room is not warm in winter nights)

The location of the hostel was great, with easy access to many attractions and neighborhoods in the city. It was within walking distance of major sights and close to city elevators, which saved us from climbing too many hills in the heat. the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the city, providing us with useful information and even arranging taxi services for us.
There were a couple of negative aspects to our stay. the air conditioning unit in our room was extremely noisy, making it impossible to leave it on during the night.

Hostel staff was great and very helpful. Very good location. Rooms were cleaned everyday like in hotels and also the breakfast was good enough.
Our room was very noisy, we could hear everything what happened in the street, all the cars and people yelling. Common area could be more comfortable, more couches or something.

The private bathroom is amazing! There should be more hostels with private bathrooms. The common area, super cozy and cool.
The stairway to the elevator. Wi-Fi not working on the fifth floor.
